Our appointment Wednesday went well. I gained another 8 pounds, which to me was surprising because I thought I'd lost a little weight and evened out all the pounds I gained on my cruise. I did gain a lot with my daughter and my midwife says she's not concerned because perhaps I just gain more than typical women. I am concerned though because I don't want to take three more years to get back down to my normal size. She said to cut back on carbs and eat tons of protein and veggies. The world is cruel... pasta and bread is cheaper than meat and veggies. And carbs are so filling, not to mention delicious. This news was before Thanksgiving, and we haven't even made it past Christmas. It's not fair I tell you!
Hutch says I look adorably country in this outfit. :)
How far along? 23 weeks
Total weight gain/measurements: Total gain is 23 pounds
Sleep: Sleep is fine. My hip still bothers me a lot when switching positions, but so far so good. I have a feeling the baby might keep me up later in this pregnancy because I feel him wiggling when I fall asleep and he's kicking me in the morning when I wake up.
Maternity clothes: Yeah.
Stretch marks? No new ones.
Best moment this week: Less heartburn. Yay!
Miss anything? My metabolism. Or something. I'm so sad that I've gained so much. I can't tell and don't notice, but every time I go to get on the scale at my appointments I'm in utter shock.
Movement: All that mess I said about him being quiet a month ago... forget it. He's a ping pong ball!
Cravings?: Still coffee. I also need more baked macaroni and cheese in my life.
Anything making you queasy or sick? Not lately.
Labor signs: No, thank goodness.
Symptoms: Hip pain driving em nuts and I'm starting to wonder if the chiropractor is helping.
Belly button in or out? Almost out. You can feel it when you rub my belly.
Rings on or off? On the middle finger still.
Happy or moody most of the time: Happy lately.
Baby related purchases?: Two rockin' onesies from the thrift store.
Looking forward to: This weekend when I get my daughter back home to me!
