I did follow the entire recipe for Grown Up Macaroni and Cheese, but I have to say it didn't turn out as good as I would have liked. There was so much cheese in the end! I would definitely suggest that a whole box of pasta should be used. Hutch also says it needs twice as much bacon, but he's a man so that's to be expected. So if I use this recipe for home made mac again, I will double the pasta and double the bacon. And maybe a little less thyme...
Want to know what was a success? My version of Fifteen-Minute Breakfast Pizza. Oh my goodness, it was delicious!
We started with a refrigerated crust, added sausage gravy for the "sauce," layered scrambled eggs that were cooked with green peppers, a ground sausage and bacon mixture, and topped all of that with both cheddar and monterrey jack cheese. So scrumptious. We ate all but one slice by lunch time, and then Hutch and I fought over who would get the leftovers!
We weren't too exciting this week. What did you make?

The breakfast pizza looks amazing. More bacon always makes something better!

ReplyDeleteI have been wanting to make a breakfast casserole. I love Pinterest. You can find so many great things! Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteThat Mac n Cheese sounds complicated. Isn't there a recipe anywhere that doesn't have more than 3 or 4 ingredients for us cooking challenged peeps?
ReplyDeleteThe pizza looks easy and really good though.
